Global Settings contains four essential configuration options that control how shipping works across your WooCommerce store.
1. Shipping Zones
Create and manage custom shipping zones to define where you ship and apply specific shipping rules. This is not WooCommerce’s default shipping zones.
WowShipping Shipping Zones are designed to work with WowShipping’s rule-based system, allowing you to configure different rates and methods based on customer location.
For detailed information on creating and configuring shipping zones, see the WowShipping Shipping Zones.
2. Enable Shipping Tax by Default
Determines whether the shipping tax option is automatically applied to Taxable or None when creating a new shipping rule:
- Select Yes to make shipping tax option Taxable by default in the shipping rule settings
- Select No to keep shipping tax option None by default.

3. Debug Mode
A troubleshooting tool that helps diagnose shipping configuration issues:
- Toggle the switch to enable or disable Debug Mode
- When enabled, caching is turned off and detailed logs and errors are displayed (accessible via WooCommerce → Status → Logs)
- In debug mode, shipping methods are visible only to Admins and Shop Managers
Important: Keep this disabled in production environments and only enable when troubleshooting
4. Fulfillment Location
Set your warehouse or shipping origin address. These values override the default WooCommerce Store Address and are used to calculate accurate shipping rates.

⚠️ Important: Check the Fulfillment Location details 2 or more times to ensure complete accuracy. Verify there are no spelling mistakes in the city, state name, or any other fields. Avoid typos at all costs, as even minor errors will prevent accurate live rate calculations from carriers.
Configure the following fields:
- Address line 1: Primary street address of your fulfillment center
- Address line 2: Suite, unit, or building number (optional)
- City: City where your fulfillment center is located
- State: State/province name (e.g., CA or California)
- Postcode: ZIP or postal code
- Country (ISO Code): Two-letter country code (e.g., US, CA, GB)
