Add Shipping Methods

WowShipping offers four shipping method types: Flexible Rate, Flat Rate, Free Shipping, and Live Rates. Each calculates and displays costs differently at checkout. Knowing how they vary helps you pick the best option for your store.

How to Add a Shipping Method (Quick Steps)

Follow these steps to add a shipping method in WowShipping. This is where you decide how your customers will be charged for delivery.

  • Go to WooCommerce → WowShipping.
  • Open the Shipping Methods tab and click Add Shipping Method.
  • Enter a name for the shipping method. This is what customers will see at cart/checkout (examples: Express Delivery, Standard Delivery, Fast Delivery).
  • Select a shipping zone you’ve already created (WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Add Zone).
  • Choose a rate type: Manual Rates (Flexible, Flat, or Free Shipping) or Live Rates.
  • Continue to the specific documentation for the method you selected to complete your shipping setup.

How can I change Product Measurements and Currency?

You can change measurement units (weight, height, width, length, volume) and currency in WooCommerce to match your business needs.

    For product measurements:
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > General > Measurements.
From here, update the Weight unit and Dimensions unit (length, width, height, and volume).

    For currency:
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency options.
Select the currency that fits your store.

How Each Shipping Method Sets Up Costs

Flexible Rate uses tiered rates with ranges, Flat Rate requires one fixed cost, and Free Shipping is activated by setting one condition. The table below shows the cost setup differences and best use cases.
