Content Field

The ‘Content’ custom field provides a powerful WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to add rich, formatted content directly to your WooCommerce product pages.

If you need assistance, kindly contact our support team. They will be able to assist you with certain issues.

This field allows you to go beyond simple text and include headings, lists, tables, images, and custom HTML. As you work, you can see your changes update in real-time on the product preview card.

Using the ‘Content’ Field in WowAddons

When you add or edit a ‘Content’ field, the General tab displays the Content Editor. This editor features a toolbar with the following formatting options:

Basic Formatting

These controls are just like a standard document editor. To apply a format, simply select your text and click the corresponding icon in the toolbar.

  • Undo/Redo: Revert or re-apply your last actions.
  • Text Highlight: Adds a colored background to your selected text. Click the icon to choose your desired highlight color.
  • Bold (B): Makes selected text bold.
  • Italic (I): Makes selected text italic.
  • Underline (U): Underlines selected text.
  • Link: Add, edit, or remove a hyperlink from your text.

Block & Text Types

Paragraph: You can change the HTML tag for your text block. This is useful for structuring your content for SEO and accessibility.

  • P (Paragraph)
  • H1, H2, H3 (Headings)
  • div
  • span

Lists: You can create two types of lists:

  • Bullet List
  • Numbered List

Tables

Click on the (Grid icon) to open a grid selector. Drag your mouse to select the number of rows and columns for your new table.

Table Editing: Once a table is created, click inside it to open an advanced table options menu. This menu allows you to:

  • Add or Delete Rows (Above/Below)
  • Add or Delete Columns (Left/Right)
  • Merge or Split Cells
  • Toggle Header Rows or Columns
  • Delete the entire table

Media

The Insert Image icon opens a dialog to add images to your content. You have two options:

  • Media Library: Choose an existing image or upload a new one to your WordPress Media Library.
  • Enter image URL: Paste a direct URL to an image hosted elsewhere.

Alt text: You can set alternative text for the image. This field is optional but crucial for accessibility (for screen readers) and SEO.

Image Width: The image width can be adjusted in pixels using this field.

Note: The image height is adjusted automatically to correspond with the width, maintaining the image’s original aspect ratio.

HTML View

Click the <HTML> button to toggle between the visual editor and the raw HTML code. This is for advanced users who want to paste in custom code or fine-tune the HTML markup.
