Why WowAddons: What’s the Motivation? 

A couple of our users motivated the following scenario: 

I’m assuming you’re not familiar (I hope you are!) with WowRevenue, a discount plugin we introduced a while back. It helps users create discount offers on their WooCommerce store. 

One of our users (let’s say his name was John) wanted something more: 

“I like the plugin. It alright. But can I not offer something more?”

I asked John, “What is it that you’re looking for?” 

John’s reply was, “Isn’t there a way to add some rules so that users can buy the bags in their favorite color? There’s a way to do it in WooCommerce, but I don’t have any way to control the looks.” 

He was looking for something that looked like this:

John was not the only user with such a request – we had small, medium, and large e-commerce store owners with such requests. 

This led us to bring a WooCommerce product add-ons solution like WowAddons – we’ve been at it for over 1 year now. We’ve been constantly grinding at it for 1 year now.

It’s A Proper No-Code WooCommerce Product Options Plugin

This was kind a hard to full of…

While we were taking feedback from our users on the usability of our product customizer, we noticed a couple of things: 

1. This product needs to cater to a wide range of users 
2. It should update the pricing dynamically
3. The settings need to be easy enough for both the user and the store owner

These were the major challenges when we were trying to ideate this product options plugin for WooCommerce. 

One, we wanted it to be a proper no-code product options builder. We had to make sure that the balance was right – it was easy enough for all types of users to understand and use. 

So far, I’m happy to report, we managed to build it accordingly.  It’s a simple drag-and-drop process. Simply drag an element from the library on the left and add it to the product add-ons panel on the right. 

Also, the user will find that the prices for the products adjust dynamically. 

It’s Easy to Personalize

This was another great challenge for us. 

One thing was clear from the requests that we were getting – it had to be easy to use and ‘customize’. 

We already had the functionality part down. It was time to focus on the design customization part. 

Truth be told, we were a bit overwhelmed. Because we wanted to: 

1. Help the user make changes readily 
2. Allow them to imprint their brand identity 

The solution? 

We came up with a global design system – users can change the appearance of each of the WooCommerce product options readily from the global settings! 

It’s Suitable for Every Occasion

This was the final and most challenging task. Simply because we wanted to expand our niche. 

We wanted to build something that users from different categories could use. 

You could be a baker, a lifestyle brand, or an electronics store owner – there should be something for everyone. 

So, how did we solve that? 

We introduced 20+ customizable product add-on blocks. These blocks have 2 parts of operation: 

1. General options 
2. Advanced logic

You can simply keep working with the general options or apply advanced logic to offer your users more in-depth customization. 

How to Use WowAddons as an Electronics Seller? [One of the Use Cases…] 

Here’s a use case for you: 

If you were the owner of an electronics store, then you’ve probably encountered something like this: 

You’re selling a laptop in your store (or any personal computing device for that matter). You want the user to buy some peripherals alongside it. 

I created a demo for this (you probably saw it circulating online!): 

Here’s how I created it: 

First, I took an image swatches block (one of the more premium blocks, by the way) and added the images. I added the relevant text tags to these images, as you can see in the demo. 

Second, I took a “Checkbox” block and set it up. I set fixed pricing for each of the options. If a user checks one of the boxes, that product gets added to the cart. Also, the pricing adjusts accordingly. 

Finally, I implemented a second image swatch. I set the fixed pricing for each of laptop sleeves. 

You see how powerful it is? I’ll be dropping a couple more demos in the next few days. Remember one thing, it’s a $599 value. The pre-order goes for $149 only – for only a handful of users! I’ll leave the decision to you.

Can I set product options for a specific product? 

Yes, you can. You can also set product options for all the products in your store or for a specific category of products. 

When will this product options plugin be available for use?

How does the conditional logic work?

The conditional logic will have different options for custom fields. It’s basically like any logic-based plugin you used with WooCommerce. The workings of it will be available on April 28, 2025.
